E’ ancora buio quando mi alzo dal letto e sbircio fuori dalla finestra. Sì sta nevicando, niente di eccezionale, ma è comunque neve. Dopo un’abbondante colazione ci avventuriamo lungo la traccia di sentiero che porta al lago. Un vento teso rende subito impegnativa la salita, la neve cade quasi orizzontale ed in questo mare bianco diventa complicato orientarsi. Per fortuna conosciamo molto bene questa zona e procediamo abbastanza spediti. Il paese si intuisce è alla nostra destra ma non si vede praticamente niente. Qualche sagoma ogni tanto fa capolino tra una folata e l’altra.
Finalmente dopo un’ora buona di cammino raggiungiamo la foresta e qui con nostro sollievo la neve filtrata dagli abeti risulta molto meno fastidiosa. Il paesaggio che lentamente va componenedosi sotto i nostri occhi è spettacolare. Il bianco velo che ricopre ogni cosa rende ancora più speciale l’ambiente.

Questo è per noi il paradiso in terra, in particolare in queste stagioni nelle quali l’afflusso di turisti è ridotto al minimo. Spazi, tempi, silenzi è tutto nostro e non c’è bisogno di mediare una quanto meno sofferta condivisione con altri. No oggi siamo assolutamente egoisti. Tocchiamo con mano quello che noi consideriamo nostro, almeno moralmente, è una consolazione anche se magra ma rimane comunque una consolazione.
La salita all’interno della foresta si fa più impegnativa, il ghiaccio insidioso sotto il piccolo strato di neve ci obbliga a prendere qualche precauzione in più. Dopo poco più di 2 ore giungiamo al lago e ci godiamo una breve sosta. Siamo sudati come fossimo appena usciti da una piscina e il freddo si fa sentire maggiormente in queste condizioni. Il rientro è sicuramente meno faticoso anche se non meno veloce. Le nuvole ormai si sono alzate e lo sguardo può divagare verso la creste di confine.
